As an actor I love to perform in various forms of theatre. When I perform I like to combine subtle movement with acting. But I also like to work with grotesque and absurd forms of theatre. I’m always open for projects that stimulate my creativity and that make my heart beat faster. Especially projects in which I can explore the expressiveness of movement.

After I graduated for my master’s degree in psychology at the University of Amsterdam in 2006 I started my second study at the Academy of Theatre and Dance in Amsterdam in 2007. In 2011 I graduated for my bachelor’s degree in theatre. As a youngster I was always interested in the performing arts. But my real passion for theatre started in 2004, when I got through the auditions of theatre group DOX, a theatre group that makes theatre for youngsters and combines (modern)dance with acting. After three years of training and performing with DOX throughout Holland I got through the auditions of the Theatre school of Amsterdam.

In my second year I started my own group together with my classmate Yannick Greweldinger: Mime Theatre Group Botlek. We made a few perfomances with our group that we performed in Holland and abroad. After Theatre school I continued making performances with Yannick as MTG Botlek.

During my studies I had an internship with theatre company Golden Palace and I performed in projects with various interesting theatre makers such as Bianca van der Schoot, Nicole Beutler and Boukje Schweigman.

Besides working as a freelance actor and theatre maker I also work as a trainer and coach for different kinds of organizations. In september 2012 I started to work as a teacher in the Theatre school of Amsterdam for students in the second, third and fourth year.
